Numero Uno

Our Nikon D60 arrived today!

Here is the first picture I took with it.

I think I have a LOT to learn about this camera.

This is Vinnie.

And when I looked through the camera he looked crisp and clear.

Now he does not.

Off to read my manual.

Over the River and Through the Woods...

When I was younger and we would take the trip

over the mountain to Gramma's house

I would always see the most wonderful flowers

planted on the side of the highway.

They were agapanthus and they were my favorite!

Now that I don't live in California anymore,

and don't travel on 280 anymore,

I don't see those beautiful flowers.

So we went and bought some a couple weekends ago!

They still aren't in the ground, but they're aching to be.

And they'll get there. And be happy.

But not as happy as me!

Cakes Gone Wrong

I found the funniest blog ever last night! It's called Cake Wrecks and it's all about "When professional cakes go horribly, hilariously wrong."

And these cakes are WRECKS!!

They aren't cakes that someone just made in their kitchen, these cakes are store bought cakes that people are expected to pay money for LOL.

So if you're looking for a good laugh,
a good "I think I'm going to pee my pants" laugh, you should go visit this blog. The commentary is hilarious and you 'll have a blast reading it through the tears in your eyes!

I seriously don't think I've laughed this hard since I was a kid.

Lizards

We have lizards.

They're called Green Anole lizards.

They're related to the Iguana, but they change colors.

So you'd think they were related to the chameleon.

But they're not.

They hang out on our sink outside.

They hang out on our fence.

Sometimes they're green.

Sometimes they're brown.

Sometimes they like each other.

Sometimes they don't.

And sometimes they really really like each other :)
